FAQs
General FAQs
What is your cancellation policy?
Bookings are non-refundable. We only offer a reschedule for cancellations made more than 24 hours before the tour. Within 24 hours, bookings are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled as we have already reserved your guide and gear.
What happens if I’m running late?
Please try to arrive 10-15 minutes early. To be fair to other guests, we start on time. If you miss the start, we can’t offer a refund or a last-minute reschedule, so please allow plenty of time for Manly traffic.
What if it is raining or windy?
Weather is hard to predict and the forecast is often wrong. We still go out if it’s just a bit wet, so bring a raincoat and a sense of adventure! If conditions are actually unsafe, we will contact you at least 2 hours before to reschedule. If we cancel and you can’t make a new date, you’ll get a full refund.
Do you take private or corporate bookings?
Yes, we can organize private packages for birthdays, work events, or friends. Just email us at info@manlyecotours.com.au with your details and we can set it up.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes, every guest must sign a digital safety waiver before we start. You’ll get a link in your confirmation email.
Kayak Tours FAQs
Do you have double kayaks?
We use single kayaks because they are stable, comfortable, and easier to handle for both beginners and pros. If you get tired, don't worry—our guides can easily give you a tow to give your arms a rest.
Are there weight or height restrictions?
Our kayaks are wider than most, making them very stable. The weight limit is 110kg. If you are very tall, let us know so we can adjust the footrests for your comfort before you arrive.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable gym clothes or swimmers that you don't mind getting a little wet from paddle splash. In winter, add an extra layer or a windbreaker. Thongs are fine, but water shoes are better if you want to protect your feet on the beach.
Can I paddle with my kids?
Yes! We welcome children aged 8 and up. Kids under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. If they struggle with the paddling, we have tow lines to help them along.
Is this a difficult workout?
No, we keep a slow pace. We focus on the scenery and the experience rather than speed. If you have basic fitness, you will be fine.
Where exactly do we meet?
We meet at the Little Manly Beach boat ramp (Craig Ave). We are a mobile business, so you won't see a shop, just look for the Manly Eco Tours van and kayaks.
Snorkeling Tours FAQs
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
You should be comfortable in the water and able to swim at least 100 meters. This is a relaxed experience, and we provide optional flotation aids like foam noodles to help you float without effort. If you aren't a confident swimmer, please let your guide know.
What if I have a medical condition or I’m pregnant?
Please let us know about any medical conditions that might affect you. If you are pregnant, we recommend checking with your doctor first, as snorkeling can be an active experience.
Where do we leave our belongings?
Bring only the essentials. We have a safe place in our support van to store small items like keys, phones, and wallets while we are in the water.
Is there a place to change?
Yes, Shelly Beach has public toilets, changing rooms, and outdoor showers available.
Will I see a shark?
It’s very common to see Wobbegongs or Port Jackson sharks. They are harmless, stay on the bottom, and are one of the best parts of the tour.
Can I bring my own gear?
Absolutely. If you have your own mask or fins, feel free to bring them. Otherwise, we provide high-quality gear for you.
