CHOOSE YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE WITH US
We don’t do "mass tourism." We believe the best way to experience the coast is in small, intimate groups that respect the environment. Whether we are gliding through the crystal clear waters of Manly or trekking the headlands, our focus is on quality, storytelling, and leaving the ocean better than we found it. As a local family-run business, we pride ourselves on a curated service. No crowds, no rush, just the best gear and the best guides in the area.
MEET THE TEAM

ALEX
Founder of Manly Water Sports
I’ve spent 20 years working on the water globally, but I truly found my place after moving to Australia 8 years ago. I started Manly Eco Tours because I wanted to share the ocean as I see it, not as a tourist in a crowd, but as a local finding a moment of quiet..
We keep our groups tiny (max 5) because the best adventures happen in small circles where you can actually hear the water and enjoy the conversation. Whether we’re watching the sunrise or the last light of the day, I want you to leave feeling grounded and energized.
I'm lucky to call Manly home, and I'd love to show you the secret side of it.

JUAN
Head Instructor - Ocean Guide
Juan is the lead on the water at Manly Eco Tours. With a lifetime of experience as an ocean guide, he’s as much a part of the sea as the kayaks we paddle.
For Juan, a day on the harbour is about sharing the health and headspace that comes from being out on the water. Whether he’s guiding a sunrise session or a quiet afternoon reset, his focus is on making sure everyone feels safe, connected, and energized by the experience.
He knows the "secret" corners of the North Harbour better than anyone and is always ready to share a story about our local wildlife or help you find your rhythm with the paddle.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Alexa Young
"I’ve lived in Sydney for years but never actually saw this side of the harbour. Alex is a legend, he took us to a spot you can only get to by water and it was dead quiet. It didn't feel like a stiff 'tour' at all; more like a morning out with a mate who knows all the secret spots. If you want to see the real Manly without the crowds, this is it."
Morgan James
"Booked the sunset paddle after a massive week at work and it was the best decision. There’s something about being out there when the water is like glass that just clears your head. It’s a bit of a workout but nothing too crazy, just a nice steady pace. I went home feeling a lot more human. Seriously good for the soul."
Lisa Driver
I was a bit worried because I’m not exactly an athlete, but the kayaks are super stable and the vibe is really relaxed. We stopped at Store Beach and it felt like we were miles away from Sydney. He even grabbed some great photos of us so I didn't have to risk my phone in the water. Such a healthy, easygoing way to spend a few hours.
